This vacation home embraced by ancient oaks sits directly on a spectacular stretch of the upper reaches of the Withlacochee River (where it exits the state forest).  It is situated at the end of a lime rock road that forms a private and secluded point on the river.  Directly across the river on the other bank is the Florida Creek Indian Tribal Grounds.  This riverfront retreat offers incredible scenic beauty magical in the simple diversity of the river wildlife and its peaceful surroundings.  Whether you find your relaxing pleasure in fishing, boating/kayaking, observing bird life, or just reading that book you have been meaning to get to, you will be delighted with all the opportunities offered by the river house.

AMENITIES
The river house has an upstairs loft area with two bedrooms and a separate 3rd sleeping area on the loft landing.  There are hard wood floors throughout the downstairs and tongue and groove pine wood walls. Also, there is an observation porch/deck with a  charcoal BBQ grill, a beautiful vented gas fireplace located in the living room, A/C, kitchen with all the pots and pans, utensils, etc., washer, pull out sofa in the living room, and a custom oversized Jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom.

$575 - Weekly Rate     Christmas through Easter             $360 - 3 day rate

Rates are based on 6 people.  Additional people $10 per person per night.

$150.00 refundable security deposit.

There is an $28.00 inspection/service fee with all rentals.

10% increase for stays during holidays. 

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required for stay of 1 week or more.  Balance due 30 days prior to occupany.  Stays less than 1 week require payment in full at time of reservation.  Once payment in full is received access for lockbox will be given. There is a Security Deposit of $150, refundable after departure; depending on the condition of the premises, a cleaning fee may be charged.  Refund request for cancellation must be received at least 30 days in advance of your stay and will be limited to 75% of fully paid accounts.

LOCATION
Located approximately 8 miles North of Dade City near US 301, the river house is less than 1 hour away from all the major central Florida attractions (to the Northeast) as well as within less than an hour of the Tampa Bay metro area (to the Southwest), yet you may find it more pleasurable to simply stay in this rural area and enjoy the many entertainment festivities that seem to be ongoing throughout the year from the several different town communities.  Whether it is a day at Rock Springs (near Apopka), horseback riding in Sumter County (in the Bushnell area) or taking your exercise on the state designated trail, we doubt that you will run out of things to do.  For those less inclined to physical activities, there are also the antiquing opportunities both in Dade City or in Mt. Dora.  We even have our own drive-in theater and nearby local "country" golf courses all at unbelievably low prices.
